Fallow Deer Hunting

Fallow Deer are present in Texas. They were introduced into the state in the 1940s and have thrived, now found in 93 counties, particularly in the Texas Hill Country, Edwards Plateau, and South Texas.

  • Ideal Habitat:

The Edwards Plateau region, with its mix of oak mottes, juniper brushland, and grassy areas, is a particularly suitable habitat for Fallow Deer.
