Elk Hunts
Bull elk are characterized by their impressive antlers and large size .They are a significant part of the elk herd, playing a crucial role in the rutting season (mating season) through their displays of dominance, bugling, and sparring with other bulls.
-
Bull elk are significantly larger than cows, averaging 5 feet tall at the shoulder and weighing between 700 and 1100 pounds.
-
During the rut, which typically occurs in September and October, bulls bugle (a distinctive call), spar with other bulls, and gather a harem of cows.

American Bison Hunts
While "buffalo" is often used to refer to the American bison, it's important to understand that bison and buffalo are distinct species. The term "buffalo" in the American West, despite its common use, refers to the American bison (Bison bison), while "buffalo" technically refers to the African Cape buffalo and the Asian Water buffalo. The confusion stems from early settlers' misidentification due to their resemblance to the "true buffalo" of Africa and Asia.
On the Lucky 7 we have a selection of "Meat" hunts & Trophy hunts for the American Bison
