Elk Hunts

Bull elk are characterized by their impressive antlers and large size .They are a significant part of the elk herd, playing a crucial role in the rutting season (mating season) through their displays of dominance, bugling, and sparring with other bulls.

  • Bull elk are significantly larger than cows, averaging 5 feet tall at the shoulder and weighing between 700 and 1100 pounds.

  • During the rut, which typically occurs in September and October, bulls bugle (a distinctive call), spar with other bulls, and gather a harem of cows.
